An 11-year-old Pinzgauer cow was presented with signs of traumatic reticuloperitonitis. Sonographical examination revealed ascites, peritonitis and a dilated amotile small intestine, which was confirmed during laparotomy. On the basis of necropsy and pathohistological findings a diagnosis of metastasizing ileal adenocarcinoma was made.
